Old workshop furniture with 4 drawers in solid oak dating from the 40s/50s. The upper plate is covered with plywood, which has lived in a workshop: small dents, and small gaps, despite repairs. The two lighter triangles visible in the photos are nuances in the veining of the visible layer of the plywood. This piece of furniture was undoubtedly part of a set, when it was individualized, the sides were closed using nailed aluminum sheet plates. They have been cleaned, but they still show the marks of their former life visible in the photos. The drawers are made of solid oak, the fronts are covered with a veneer with a beautiful patina (a few slight gaps visible in the photos), the cast aluminum handles are original, the label holders are no longer present. The few small holes on the front are the traces of postcards that the previous owner collected. They have been completely sanded inside: therefore clean, despite the few traces of use. Please note, the bottom is made up of two wooden boards. solid non-jointed. The drawers are equipped with a mechanism allowing them to open completely without collapsing. The mechanism is still functional even if the disappearance of the majority of its springs leaves it functioning a little shaky. The right rear leg has also suffered some damage visible in the photos, without affecting the robustness of the furniture. He has had a hard life, but still retains a lot of style and character!
