Partition, separating screen, curved beech wood shelf.

Claustra Ludvik Volak: one of the minimalist symbols of European Mid-Century design. Exceptional workshop craftsmanship. Bent beech wood (re-varnished clear). Excellent condition. It consists of two stacked frames with shelves, two vertical supports (connectors), and four "feet" mounted on glued wooden dowels. Height of the frames (without the connectors and feet): 102 cm X 2 = 208 cm. Height of the vertical connectors (between each frame): 8 cm. Height of the connectors (floor & ceiling): 14 cm X 2 = 28 cm. = Total height (including feet & connectors): 240 cm. = Total height (including feet & connectors): 240 cm. It is not necessary to have a ceiling height of 240 cm to integrate it into your interior; the connectors and feet can be removed if the ceiling height is less than 240 cm. Width of the frames: 55 cm. Depth of the frames: 8 cm. Depth of the shelves inside the frames: 15 cm. This claustra can be fixed and used in multiple ways. Its previous owner used it as a full-height bookshelf (fixed to the floor and ceiling) and detached from the walls to accommodate the widest books. For stability reasons (weight of the books), it was fixed to the ceiling at the back via small brackets (the location of which is visible). This claustra can be fixed in the same way at the corner of a wall. It can also be used simply as dividers with a few objects on their shelves (or not).
