Mid-Century Scandinavian Modern Ceramic Vases Granola by Gunnar Nylund

A pair of extraordinary handmade vintage art ceramic vases known as "granola" design by the very talented gunnar nylund for rörstrand. What makes these vases so very special is that even though, they have a very simple design, they still have the most elegant and sophisticated appearance, very much due to the incredible color and glazing. Nylund is very famous for his craftsmanship, very much needed to be able to produce such quality and iconic ceramic objects. This together with the incredible glazing which is in a harpsichord glaze technique with a beautiful blue color with and hints of darker blue, makes is resemble a duck’s eggshell. All in all, as a pair they will look very stunning and elegant, pieces of art, which still has a modern feel to it. They are signed and marked and sold as a pair. The price is for both vases. One vase 14cm (5.51") high, 9cm (3.54") in diameter, the second one is 10cm (3.93") high and 7cm (2.75") in diameter they are both in an excellent condition.
