I offer you this old casserole dish from the Le Creuset brand, "Coquelle 1958" model designed by the designer "Raymond Loewy". The manufacturer's seal as well as its country of origin are affixed under the casserole dish (see photos). The bottom is also enameled. Raymond Loewy has had many nicknames, including "the man who shaped America", "the father of industrial design". But few people know its connection to the iconic kitchen utensils. The official designer of the 1958 Coquelle, Loewy, modernized the traditional Le Creuset round casserole dish to meet the post-war trend for minimalist designs. Note some very slight chips on the edges of the lid, and more pronounced on the edges of the dish visible in the photos, but which in no way alter its general charm or its functionality. This stunning piece, sporting an elegant Elysée yellow hue, is ideal for preparing traditional dishes. It can be used directly on a flame or in an oven. Dimensions: Length (handle to handle): 35 cm Width: 23 cm Height: 11 cm Weight: 5 kg This magnificent piece, sporting an elegant Elysée yellow shade, is ideal for preparing traditional dishes. It can be used directly on a flame or in an oven. Enamelled cast iron is the material of choice for gourmets and star chefs.
