Oak Bookcase by Børge Mogensen for Karl Andersson & söner. Sweden, 1960s

The second of two classic shelving units we are listing. It is composed of two sections - A cupboard storage space below with easy sliding doors (this one has a shelf on the left side and a cutlery drawer and shelf on the right side). Above this there is a bookcase unit with six fully adjustable 30cm deep internal shelves. In structurally good condition. It does have evidence of discolouration as is usual with oak furniture. It also has a chip to the wood on the back edge as shown and some small holes to the back plate that were either used to once screw the bookcase to the wall to secure it or to feed electrical cables through to the front. Two manufacturers labels are at the back.
