Antique lacquered papier-mâché box with oriental motifs

Beautiful antique lacquered papier-mâché box decorated with an oriental scene in golden. Possibly it is from the end of the 19th century. The box is made of papier-mâché and then lacquered on the outside and inside in black. The system to open the box is brilliant ans works perfectly. It is an ideal gift for its delicacy. It is very romantic. It is in very good vintage condition if we think in the age it has. It has varnish gaps on top of the drawing, and some scratches, please zoom in on the photos to see it in detail. It measures 12 cm long, 8 cm deep and 3 cm high.
