Vintage Palwa suspension in solid brass and crystal.

Vintage suspension sublime Palwa (Palme & Walter), rare original model from the 1970s–1980s, made in Germany. This iconic piece of Hollywood Regency style is distinguished by its sculpted gilded brass frame and numerous cut crystal cabochons, typical of Palwa's craftsmanship. Features: Diameter: 32 cm. Total height: 56 cm (excluding any extension). Materials: solid brass, brass chains and supports, cut crystal beads. Sockets: E14 in brass with porcelain ring. Bulbs: 4 X E14, max. 40 W (all technologies compatible – LED, incandescent, etc.). Voltage: 110/220 V. Condition: Very good vintage condition. The patina of the brass is superb and the crystals are complete and bright. Note: the suspension is not perfectly circular when viewed from below, which is common for handmade pieces from this era. Once installed, this slight irregularity is almost invisible. About Palwa: Palwa, short for Palme & Walter, K.G., is a renowned German company based in Gross-Umstadt (Hesse). Active from the 1950s to the 2000s, it designed highly sought-after brass and crystal light fixtures today. The brand is often mistakenly associated with Gaetano Sciolari but has its own distinctive style, recognisable by its brass rings and embedded crystal beads.
