The half-arc forms are carved from solid wood with hollow detailing; each inner surface is hand-sanded with subtle grooves to refract light, while the exterior is manually finished to reveal natural wood grain, accented with copper beads. Tracing the space between above and below, the light seeks its way with quiet intent. It acts as a bridge for the gaze, reflecting a deep longing and a hopeful vision for the beauty of the future. Light refracts through the material in a spiral motion, casting illumination both upward and downward; each glowing surface echoes the carved wood beneath, aligning seamlessly with the designed spiral rhythm. Each Flowlight piece is conceived as functional sculpture. Designed and hand-carved entirely in-house, our works explore the organic movement of wood grain through hand-carving techniques, creating lighting objects that serve both as illumination and as standalone art pieces. Every lamp is individually crafted by skilled artisans led by Karson Wu, ensuring subtle variations that make each work unique. As each piece is individually handcrafted, subtle variations in wood grain, color, carving details, and dimensions are to be expected.
