Originally this piece of furniture is made of waxed brown wood, I stripped and sanded and then painted 6 layers of very good quality paint to ensure a good hold over time. Detail of the painting steps: a primer, 2 layers of satin acrylic paint, 1 layer of patina to give an aged appearance, 2 layers of matt colorless varnish.
