LAR Charles Armchair - Ray Eames 1950 - Vitra exhibition model As early as 1950, they presented a series of legs dedicated to different seating positions, including the low-lying version LAR (Lounge Height Height Rod Base). The LAR seems to have been one of Charles and Ray's favourite models: it can be seen in many old photographs of the legendary Eames House in Pacific Palisades, inside and out. They also reveal the lightness of the chair and the ease with which it can be moved. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the Plastic Chair LAR can also be used in smaller interiors. The steel wire base, which achieves maximum stability with minimal material, has acquired a charming nickname on the market in a short time, due to its unusual shape: Cat's Cradle - in reference to the children's string game. Thanks to the organic shape of this classic armchair, LAR is a remarkable solitary piece of furniture but can also be associated with many types of sofas to form an attractive contrast. Especially in its full-topding version, the LAR offers durable comfort, making this modestly sized chair an excellent seating choice for any living space. Seat shell: polypropylene tinted. LAR base: steel wire base with braces, chrome finish or epoxy. LAR - Lounge Height Armchair, Rod Base). H63x L56.5x P61 Seat height: 25.5. Color: Sea blue . Exhibit, excellent condition.
