Pouf / Ottoman vintage cognac leather – 60s/70s modernist style

Magnificent vintage pouf/ottoman in genuine leather, cognac colour, with a superb patina and a four-legged chrome metal base. Swivelling!! Square with rounded edges. Cognac colour but very bright, bordering on orange. A beautiful piece with modernist/Mid-Century design, featuring a generous and sculptural shape, very rounded lines, and a star base particularly characteristic of vintage furniture from this period. The construction and base bear similarities to certain vintage ottomans attributed to George Mulhauser for Plycraft, especially models equipped with a chrome star base, as well as some De Sede models from the 1970s in cognac leather with chrome bases. ⚠️ However, I cannot confirm attribution to these designers or manufacturers: the pouf has no label, signature, or marking to identify it with certainty. It is therefore sold as a vintage piece in modernist style, without attribution. The leather shows a lovely patina and some marks/traces of use that contribute to its vintage character. The base also shows signs of oxidation related to age.
