Formica Bayard wall clock

We no longer present the bayard clock in formica, we have all seen it in the kitchen of our parents or grandparents! This one has a nice look with its glass porthole that opens, set with gilded metal. It is ecru, white and gold and the famous black plastic "belt" all around the formica (as on formica furniture!). At the back, there is still the label of the jeweller watchmaker who sold it: j. Germain in parthenay. Everything is original, even the mechanism that requires a big r20 battery (i don't know if it still exists! And so I didn't test it). But we can, without too much difficulty, modify it by replacing the mechanism with a silent mechanism, and why not revisit it by covering the front with a nice vintage paper (painted or sticker). It is in relatively good condition but still has some signs of its age (60s or 70s): a chip and crack on the housing of the mechanism at the back, and stains and lack of gilding on the gilded metal perimeter of the porthole. It measures about 30 cm by 24 cm for a thickness of about 8 cm (case at the back and domed porthole included) and weighs about 680g.
