Vintage vase M.P. Samie Union Limousine

Very elegant vintage vase in white French porcelain, signed Porcelaines M.P. Samie – Union Limousine. This lovely piece stands out for its delicate ornithological decoration painted by hand. Two different birds are depicted on the sides of the vase, perched among fine branches and small berries. The painting is particularly detailed: finely worked plumage, natural shades of yellow, green, brown, and ochre. One of the decorations also bears the signature of the artist/decorator, visible on the porcelain. The shape of the vase is simple and elegant, slightly wavy, allowing the finesse of the decoration to take centre stage. M.P.
