Teak Japanese Series sideboard by Cees Braakman for Pastoe model DU02, 1950s

Beautiful sideboard from the so-called Japanese Series designed by Dutch designer Cees Braakman and manufactured by UMS Pastoe, The Netherlands 1950. This cabinet is not only beautiful but also offers a lot of storage space. The teak cabinet has two doors and one shelf, and the iconic black handles. The cabinet is on a slim minimalist metal base and is marked in the back, see picture. This sideboard can be expanded with the Pastoe DU10 chest of drawers that we also have for sale. The complete set is very unique and hard to gain.
