Edmond Suau (1871-1929) A Academy, Man Standing, oil on canvas signed at the bottom left. In fairly good condition, with small paint losses at the lower part, a small hole at the upper left, and a few minute losses (without frame). Edmond Eugène Suau was a French painter, born on 4 June 1871 in Mulhouse and died in October 1929 in Paris. He was a student of Benjamin Constant, Jules Lefebvre, and Tony Robert-Fleury. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1897, where he received various medals. His works are held in the Fine Arts Museums of Amiens, Narbonne, and Perpignan.
