Zoomorph hedgehog shaped ceramic ashtray by alain granet, vallauris 1960s. Alain granet was a french ceramist born in 1946. He studied at the école nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in paris and gained recognition for his innovative designs featuring bold colors and abstract patterns. Granet's work was exhibited in galleries and museums throughout france and europe, and he was awarded the prix de la jeune céramique in 1973. He taught ceramics at his alma mater and is remembered as a pioneer of modern ceramics in france. Condition report: Excellent condition.
