French Art Nouveau Brass Chandelier 4 Lights Glass Starburst Bowl &3 Shades 2516

French art nouveau four light brass chandelier dating from the early 1900s. The chandelier hangs from a decorative ceiling rose with beautiful floral decoration. From the ceiling rose comes a central bar which leads to a single bulb holder and three decorative arms that lead to the three shade holders. The shades are in white opaque glass with a textured finish and are held in position with brass screws. In the centre of the chandelier is a round frame work which is decorated with ribbon and bows, swags and leaves and inside this sits a large glass dome shade with a beautiful starburst design. This stunning chandelier is a true example of period lighting from the early 1900s and would make a wonderful focal point in many rooms adding french period charm to your home. The light is working with french twin core wiring and takes 4 bayonet bulbs b22s. The framework is in good condition with age related patina and marks to be expected with age. The shades are in good condition with no cracks just minor nibbles around the tops. The glass does have some air bubbles which is common in glass from this period.
