Small watercolor engraving. Under glass. Magnifying glass frame, old frame. Height: 36 cm. Width: 30.5 cm. Mademoiselle antoinette-louise demarcy (paris, 1788 - nice, 1859) Miniature painter whose first known works date back to 1817 and who exhibited in paris at the salon from 1824 to 1841. She signed a portrait of paganini as early as 1823 and had musicians and actors in her clientele. Works by them are kept at the musée des beaux-arts in orléans and the antoine lécuyer museum in st-quentin. Miniature on paper, signed on the right: miss l. Demarcy, Oval, 15.5 X 12 cm.
