Here is a pair of lovely brass wall lights, with gold metal and textured translucent plastic (plexiglass, perspex?). The lights are mounted on ball hinges, allowing them to be adjustable in all directions relative to the base. The tulips are made of ribbed plexiglass, diffusing a soft light. They date from the 1950s and are often attributed to Maison Lunel, but there is no absolute certainty due to the lack of markings. The sockets are designed for bayonet bulbs. The original electrical wires (fabric sheathing) probably need to be replaced. These wall lights are in generally good condition, with no broken or missing parts, intact plastic cones, but they do show some signs of their age: a few small dark spots on the gold metal of the cones, normal patina on the brass hinges, and on one side of one of the bases, a dark discolouration and absence of gilding on the edge (this dark discolouration is sometimes original to this type of wall light, a sort of artificial patina, but since it is only found in this spot, it may rather be a degradation of the gilding over time?). They measure 28.5 cm in length and 11 cm in diameter at the top of the translucent cones.
