An Italian chest of drawers from the 1900s. The chest is in solid walnut with original white-grey veined black marble top. Features four spacious drawers adorned with elaborately carved foliate and scrolled motifs. The drawer faces are framed with deeply recessed molding and decorated with bold, high-relief carving characteristic or the Italian Renaissance tradition. Each drawer retains brass handles, adding to the authentic period feel. Commode is constructed from solid walnut, prized for its durability, fine grain, and ability to hold detailed carving. The marble is with some small defects on the front (seen on photos) A timeless and functional piece in good antique condition, despite of some scratches/marks (seen on photos), consistent with age and use. Presented of moth holes. (seen on photos). It is suggested to be treated for the better use. Measurement: Width 118cm X Height 100cm X depth 56.5cm. Made in Italy. Period: 1900s.
