Scandinavian Elm Corner Cabinet, Mid-Century

Mid-20th-century elm corner cabinet with a concave locking door and shaped interior shelves. Clean lines and luminous grain. A Scandinavian corner cabinet from the mid-20th century in elm, its flame-like, luminous grain clearly visible across the top. The fan-shaped plan closes at the front with a concave door, outlined by a slender curved frame and fitted with a lock and key. Inside, shaped shelves follow the curve of the door. Block feet lift the volume, in an exercise of geometry and restraint characteristic of Nordic cabinetmaking of the period. Good condition. It may show signs of age and use.
