Description
Articulated lamp for the office, base 205, triangular pyramidal cast iron base with ball joint holder (approximately 2 kg 500) The joints and the legendary adjustment created by Bernard Albin Gras with the ball joints braked on the arms of the connecting rods with these clips, makes it a emblematic lamp by Le Corbusier, Matisse… Stamp on connecting rod “gras sgdg patented adjustable lamp” indicating manufacture between 1922 and 1930. Cast iron base with engraved stamp “1031” Aluminum reflector said. Normal number 1054 h 140 mm and diameter 130 mm. Model 205, called "portable" triangular pyramid base in cast iron, was intended for industry and design offices. Very quickly, it was adopted by architects and artists such as Le Corbusier, Mallet-Stevens, Eileen Gray, Sonia Delaunay, Braque… on the pyramidal cast iron base, a braked ebonite ball joint allows positioning at will.
