Large rotaflex suspension composed of a flattened round piece of ivory color and its bail cover, dating from the 1960s. The material used to create this suspension is rotaflex, an innovative plastic substance made of acetate threads of rolled up cellulose. This material is distinguished by its translucence, its luminous shine and its very light weight. This innovative material was developed in the 1950s by the atelier de recherche plastique (arp), founded by eminent designers such as pierre guariche, joseph-andré motte and michel mortier. Adjustable height. Bayonet socket. Edition: rotaflex, circa 1960.
