A student of a renowned artist and he preferred to stay in his region and teach his art than try competitions like his master. Very involved in the associative field to make known the artists of the north of the france, he was also a teacher at the fine arts of le havre. He is one of the recognized regional painters of northern france. Several exhibitions of his works were held posthumously.
