Mariskooli by Iittala, cobalt blue, vintage 80s

Mariskooli by iittala, beautiful cobalt blue color, vintage 80s very good condition, "i" sticker by iittala and text 'marimekko' molded into the glass mass (under the foot). Traditionally used to serve desserts, fruits or sweets, the mariskooli bowl has become an object of decoration and above all, of collection, according to its rarity, determined by the color and the period. The model has been the same since 1965 and it has been produced in a multitude of colors (69 exactly). It is a licensed product in cooperation between marimekko and iittala. The mariskooli bowls in cobalt blue color were produced in three periods. This one, darker, dates from the second period of manufacture between 1988-2006, by nuutajärvi and iittala. Genuine mariskooli made in finland can be recognized by the iittala sticker and the marimekko label, as well as its regular patterns. All parts up to the raised edge are symmetrical. The markings on the side in the glass mass are manufacturing characteristics of the time: the three visible "seams" come from the mold. Very good vintage condition from the 80s, no defects.
