Want to bring a fresh and colorful touch to your tables, winter and summer. This delightful slip pitcher, produced by the prestigious French ceramic manufacturer Saint-Clément, is the perfect candidate! With its pastel tones and graphic shape, it will give a rustic and sophisticated look to your table and will go just as well with a beautiful embroidered tablecloth as with raw, weathered wooden boards. Made in the 1920s and 1930s, the pitcher symbolizes the meeting of art nouveau and art deco styles: on a background with a geometric diamond pattern are affixed abundant bunches of grapes and delicate vine leaves painted with a stencil, a technique of typical of the period, all with pretty reliefs for more realism. Its generous format will suit large tables and will allow it to accommodate both water and rosé! The pitcher is in very good general condition and the interior is clean. It is signed St Clement France on the underside and numbered 7528. Note a defect in enamelling at the level of a grape.
