Black painted linen press wardrobe

This is an attractive linen cupboard that dates to the end of the victorian era. Made of mahogany, veneers and mixed woods it is well-made and modestly sized, splitting into three pieces which makes it easy to transport and place in any home. This piece started life as a single wardrobe but with the addition of pine shelves has become a useful cupboard for storing bedding and linens. The front is fitted with a single mirrored door which is flanked by decorative carved panels. The base has a single wide drawer and the top is fitted with a removable top plinth. I have hand painted the exterior in my own mix of black paint before distressing the finish for a gently aged look and then waxing the paintwork for protection. The paintwork is solid color with a smooth low sheen finish. Condition. The wardrobe is in good structural condition, there are various small marks here and there to the wood and some marks to the mirror. Measurements. Height- 196 cm. Width- 114 cm. Depth- 49 cm. Main wardrobe section measures 136 cm high X 101 cm wide X 42 cm deep shelf heights. Bottom 34 cm, second 31.5 cm, third 31 cm, top30.5 cm. Shelf depth 38 cm, shelf width 98 cm. The measurements are taken at the widest points and the wardrobe splits into three parts.
