Chesterfield armchair in leather and carved solid wood

Curule chair or X-legged chair in neoclassical / Empire / Biedermeier style with brown/cognac leather tufted upholstery from the 1960s/70s. The curved legs are adorned with carved rosettes at the centre and sculpted motifs on the uprights. The armrests feature volutes (scrolls). The genuine leather upholstery in good condition is tufted in brown/cognac with a nailhead trim. The contrast between the light leather and the dark patinated wood adds a lot of charm. Beautiful quality of craftsmanship, sturdy and comfortable. Width 65, seat depth 54, height 95/32.
