Pair of chairs B32, by Marcel Brauer 70/80

Pair of vintage b32 chairs by marcel brauer. The chair is characterized by its cantilevered structure, an innovation for the time. Its design brings a lightness and sobriety of décor specific to the modernist movement of the early twentieth century. The footing, seat and back consist of a single piece of curved tubular steel and a single piece of clothing. The seat and back of marcel breuer's cesca chair are lined with wicker canning resting on a curved and lace-up beech wood frame. Both chairs are in good original condition, the canning are in good condition and not pierced. Both chairs have slight traces of use, marks of use and patina of time. Note on one of the chairs the chrome top of the back of the footing has old traces of use as well as on the 2 tubular tips behind the seat (same chair) (see photos), mark of use on a side of the back on the left (see photo) and at the angle of the left seat (see photo). The two chairs are stamped "made in italy" along the length of the seats (see photos). The chairs are solid and stable. Seat height about 45 cm.
