Large presentation/service platter, made of Gien earthenware dating from the early days of the famous Kashmir pattern, marked on the base 1875-1976, likely used until the 1880-1885 period. Elegant poly-lobed shape with wide raised handles and a rich blue transfer decoration entirely enhanced by hand with red, green, and yellow. The abundant floral decoration frames a significant central Kashmir motif in the Orientalist style. This is one of the first examples of this iconic model, reissued by the factory during the 20th century. Maximum length 52cm including handles, maximum width 37.5cm, height 4cm. Very good overall condition for its age with fine natural crazing of the glaze, a slight brown patina mainly located on one side, as well as some signs of wear. There are three small original manufacturing defects: a small reserve of glaze near one handle and two discreet firing cracks located in the fold of two lobes. Approximately 2-3 kg.
