Pair of Cees Braakman Combex Wire Pastoe armchairs

Cees Braakman is a Dutch designer who devoted his entire career to modernizing domestic furniture and it is at the publisher Pastoe that he signed his creations. Like these armchairs, iconic Combex Wire model published in the 50s. They are made of welded metal wire. The feet, Eiffel shape very fashionable at this time, are decorated with balls. Originally cream white or black, these copies were finally repainted in velvet black. A few tiny minor wear defects are to be noted as well as a lack of two metal rods at the back of one of them (ten instead of twelve). It is almost imperceptible. The general condition is very good and the structural condition is excellent, healthy and without weld weakness. No trace of oxidation. Dimensions: L 57 cm XP 60 cm X Ht 83 cm (seat 40/43 cm)
