Postmodern Italian swivel chair Charlie by Carlo Bimbi & Nilo Gioacchini for Segis, 1980s.

A design heavily influenced by a postmodern language of form and materiality. Black plastic surfaces are applied to a chrome tubular steel structure. They form the seat and backrest of the chair and feature striking perforations. These openings are not purely ornamental but serve a practical function. They act as handles or for ventilation. The chair is, of course, swivel, height-adjustable, and has a five-star base.
