Large vintage scheurich vase, blue glazed ceramic with an orange fat lava band along the center, west germany pottery from the 1970s, numbered at the bottom 408-40. Rare in this color combination, blue germany vases are the scarcest. West germany was actually a collective name for ceramics that came onto the market roughly between 1950 and 1990. Some well-known names are roth, carstens, ruscha, jopeko, jasba, fohr, but the greatest were perhaps scheurich and bay.
