We offer this magnificent original Mid Century Modern daybed from around 1960, designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France & Son. This rare collector's sofa, with period cushions, original frame and supports, is in very good condition despite a slight patina on the fabric due to its 70+ years of age. Dimensions Height 83 cm, Width 191.5 cm, Depth 76 cm, Seat height 45 cm. Hvidt & Mølgaard were a famous Danish duo known for their functional and aesthetic design, creating over 256 pieces between 1944 and 1975. This sofa perfectly illustrates the elegance and simplicity of mid-20th century Scandinavian design.
