Set of three nesting bamboo boxes – China – 1980s

Set of three nesting boxes made of woven bamboo, manufactured in China and designed to fit perfectly into one another. Their graphic decor combines the natural shades of bamboo with red, black, and brown patterns, giving them a warm and highly decorative presence. Each box is crafted using a fine weaving technique combined with curved bamboo bindings. The lids fit perfectly and reveal an entirely woven interior, just as well-finished as the exterior. Both decorative and practical, they can hold jewellery, sewing supplies, keepsakes, accessories, tea bags, or small everyday treasures.
