A teak sideboard made in Denmark in the 1960s. Its simple, well-balanced form is typical of Danish modernism. The central section has four drawers, flanked by two pairs of sliding doors. All the fronts have carved, elongated handles that keep the lines clean. The top has slightly raised side edges and the plinth is gently set back, which makes the sideboard look lighter. It stands on slender, tapered turned legs. Unfortunately, we have not been able to identify the designer or manufacturer of this unique piece. The sideboard is very practical. The sliding doors are lockable and open onto two spacious compartments with shelves. The drawers have light wood sides and green-lined bottoms, and are well suited to cutlery, table linen or documents. Sliding doors need no space to open, so the sideboard also works in narrower rooms. At 184 cm wide, it looks good in a living or dining room, or as a low TV unit. The piece has been professionally and carefully restored by removing old coatings, staining and finishing with varnish. The restoration was carried out by a talented and experienced carpenter with over 20 years of experience. Thanks to these treatments, the sideboard looks stunning and will serve its new owner for many years without fear of damage or wear from everyday use.
