Superb and large antique potter's bottle (jug / storage flask) in terracotta, dating from the late 19th century. A very beautiful piece of French folk art, highly decorative thanks to its unique graphic aesthetic. This bottle stands out for its elongated pyramidal shape and the work on its glaze: the potter played with contrasts by applying a brown, shiny lead glaze in broad expressive drips, allowing the matte texture of the original terracotta to show through transparently. With a height of 30 cm, it has a strong and modern visual presence, ideal for being repurposed as a large singular vase (for branches or dried flowers) or displayed as rustic sculpture. In very good original condition. No cracks. A sound object showing normal signs of use and age that confirm its authenticity and give it a unique patina.
