Authentic unique piece signed palshus, in excellent vintage state of conservation, circa 1950. A simple little bowl, with soft and bright shades due to the famous and delicate hare's fur "hare fur" icing. This is one of the very first pieces made by the mythical danish couple: their very first productions were minimalist, with both japanese and scandinavian influences and in subtle and natural tones: brown, cream... Or blue as here. Height: 4.5cm, diameter: 10cm. Weight: 200g. A collector's item, very rare in this shape and color: Danish sculptor and ceramist per linnemann-schmidt was born in 1912 in copenhagen, denmark. He founded palshus pottery in 1947 near copenhagen, with his wife annelise. Palshus stands for: p (er), ( a )nnelise ( l) innemann, ( s )chmidt and hus (house). There he perfected his silky glaze technique called "hare fur", now emblematic of palshus. After the sudden death of annelise in 1969, he closed paslhus definitively in 1972 and returned to his first vocation as an artist: drawing, painting and sculpture.
