Street plaque

Real enamelled metal street plate. Georges lyssandre. Born on 1 may 1897 in chasseneuil-sur-bonnieure (charente), died on 30 september 1977 in bondy (seine-saint-denis); socialist municipal councillor of bondy. The son of a baker and a tailor, georges lyssandre was a notary's clerk in paris. Director of the harmonie municipale de bondy (seine), he was elected on 12 may 1935 as a socialist municipal councillor sfio on a list of coalitions with a communist leadership (see varagnat henri*). At the liberation, he was a member, on behalf of the sfio, of the provisional municipal council according to the decree of november 4, 1944. Married in 1922 in la rochefoucauld (charente) with a teacher, he died on september 30, 1977 in bondy. He was a holder of the croix de guerre 1914-1918.
