Vintage animal engraving illustration - 1850

Superb engraving of felines engraved and colored from a buffon edition. Here the lynx, the leopard and the jaguar. The paper is ivory colored, very pretty and quite light. In very good condition. Original extremely well preserved. About 1850. The beautiful illustrated subjects of these period editions are becoming rare now. Beautiful once framed. 16 X 25 cm.
