The "little symphony" tea set by villeroy & boch, designed in 1990 in mettlach, is a rare piece from the "spirit of europe" project. Conceived by designer niwat hatthavivhitkul, this set pays homage to europe, the cradle of symphonic music. It was born from a collaboration between villeroy & boch and the parsons school of design in new york. Ten students, led by marek cecula, created unique collections limited to 50 pieces. Within this framework, hattavivhitkul gave free rein to his creativity to shape a set where each piece evokes a musical instrument. Made of white ceramic, the collection combines instrument-inspired colors with touches of gilding. All pieces are signed. Sold with a certificate of authenticity. Composition of the service: 1 piano-shaped serving tray (46.5 X 28.5) 2 tall tea cups decorated with musical keys (h 9cm) 1 trumpet-shaped teapot (height 30cm, original mark) 1 cup sugar bowl (h 11.5cm) 1 double-bass milk jug (h 16.5cm).
