Louis xv coffee cup in sarreguemines earthenware with gold polychrome decoration

This lovely old cup is made of sarreguemines earthenware. This coffee cup comes with its saucer. It belongs to the famous "louis xv" service decorated with polychrome bouquets on an ivory background. In a delicate so-called "viennese" shape, the earthenware is molded with twisted ribs, the decorations of edging and raised pearls are gilded. Baroque style, it is signed "louis XV sarreguemines u&c" and dates from the beginning of the 20th century. In good general condition, it shows traces of use: I note small chips under the gilding on the edge as well as underglaze stains and cracks. Dimensions: cup 6 X 7.5 cm high and saucer 14 cm in diameter.
