Small enameled candy dish or square box, signed NILS THORSSON (1898-1975) for the ROYAL COPENHAGEN factory. BACA series produced in the 1960s-1970s. Features a stylized bird motif and abstract shapes. Beautiful gradient of blue, beige, brown, and black. This BACA series is quite rare in blue. Signed on the reverse with the Nils THORSSON stamp and the ROYAL COPENHAGEN stamp. Number 708 for the decoration and number 3267 for the form. Nils THORSSON was a renowned Swedish ceramicist who joined the Danish factory in 1912 as an apprentice; he became its artistic director in 1949. His works remain highly sought after (his value continues to rise) because they are original and complement any interior style. Excellent condition: no cracks, no hairlines, no restoration.
