Small HB dish from Quimper with a frieze decoration of geometric patterns known as "beaded," inspired by Pierre Poquet. Here is a model with the initials: P. X P for Poquet?? ๐ After 1942, signatures were composed of 2 initials: - the workshop head. - the executor and their "painter" or "painteress" number 229. ๐๐ At the end of the 19th century, pottery manufacturers called upon artists to embellish their services. These artists provided a decoration that was then reproduced by the "painters" of the factory. ๐๐ The production of earthenware with tube decorations "Embroidery" and beaded decorations mainly comes from the workshop of Pierre Poquet (1900-1973). "Embroidery" decoration, in reference to Bigouden embroidery. Pierre Poquet was in charge of the workshop for earthenware with standard decoration. He is credited with numerous creations, particularly the beaded decorations.
