Period: ca. 1940 a small classically shaped jug on its matching plate with small button feet. A perfect way to serve milk, cream or sauce. The plate has a very irregular scalloped edge and has the same floral decoration as the jug. The decor is pink and blue flowers with brownish leaves on an off-white background. The neck of the jug is brown and the handle is gold. The manufacturer's mark indicates boch frères la louvière. This is an emblematic example of the work of raymond-henri chevalier (1900-1959) who worked for the famous belgian faïencerie royal boch in la louvière; he was the second most important designer there after charles catteau. Rh chevalier worked for boch between 1937 and 1954. This decor is called “decor 2940”. Condition: good. No damage. The gilding has become thinner on the edge of the plate, the neck of the jug and especially the handle (see photos). Dimensions: 15 cm total height, plate diameter 20.7 cm, 0.85 kg.
