Ceramic covered Marmite Robert Picault Vallauris

Beautiful covered ceramic pot, signed by Robert Picault, an iconic potter from Vallauris. Two side handles, original matching lid, a complete and rare piece. The decoration is entirely traced and engraved by hand: white spirals on a warm brown background, a frieze of green chevrons. A primitive and modern mid-century style, typical of the Vallauris workshops from the 1950s to 1970s. Ideal for decoration or to set a beautiful vintage table. The items are presented for sale with signs of use, which is common for second-hand objects as time and successive uses may have left marks.
