Teknika is a very overlooked danish lighting brand and their lamps are often attributed to other manufacturers. The below tells a little about the company: Teknika was founded in 1943. During world war II by erik jensen, who by chance had the opportunity to buy aluminium tubes and got the idea to produce bicycle pumps, which were in short supply. After liberation, erik jensen once again had the opportunity to purchase metal pipes - this time also in brass, copper, etc. And decided to start producing lighting. This would be the basis for a significant production for the next 2 decades. In 1971, several miscalculations and the oil crisis put an end to teknika. The company had major credits with handelsbanken and the bank decided to redeem the credits and teknika was declared bankrupt.
