Modular tulip table JER

MODULABLE TULIP TABLE: model 91 from the French brand JER, an acronym for Jeune Equipement Rationnel, a very active modernist furniture publisher in the late 60s/70s. Although published by JER, the sculptural tulip base was cast at the famous Chenesseau Foundry located in Orléans. It is moulded in ultra-robust and heavy cast iron, covered with a protective white Rilsan coating. JER was directly inspired by the Space Age futuristic works of Eero Saarinen and his famous "Tulip" line from 1956 for Knoll, while incorporating purely French industrial craftsmanship. It is now an icon of vintage French design, particularly sought after for its ingenuity and robustness. In very good condition. Diameter and Width (Top) Closed top (Round): 100 cm in diameter.
