Chair No. BA 1171 was designed by Helmut Bätzner for Bofinger in Germany in the early 1960s. The stackable chair was launched at the Cologne Furniture Fair in 1966. The BA 1171 was the first one-piece plastic chair suitable for mass production, made of compression molded glass fiber reinforced polyester resin. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Small chip on both sides (see photo) does nothing because it still remains solid at the seat level.
