Charming little dressing table all in wood that can also be used as a small desk for a laptop or as an entrance console. It has beautiful rounded shapes and slender lines with its long thin feet. It is equipped with a small drawer. I think it dates back to the 80s. His tray had been badly manhandled: a large screw tip protruded and had created a large and wide crack across the entire tray. I repaired it by removing the screw in question, gluing the wood back in its place and plugging the crack with wood pulp. Then I revisited this little piece of furniture for my daughter: I left the mahogany varnish on the base, but I repainted the tray in a pale yellow (but not as pale as in some photos) and sanded the front of the drawer bare. The idea was not to make new, just to hide a little this large crack and give a little pep and originality to this piece of furniture. My daughter having decreed that she no longer needed a dressing table, I offer this piece of furniture here, to use as is or why not for a new revisit; ) it is not perfect: marks of use on the base, the paint of the tray has a little wear on the edges and some light stains. I made up for a very slight swing on hard ground by adding 4 felt skates under the feet. The crack seems to me to have "played" in the other direction, that is to say that it closed slightly, creating a small relief. So I added two slats glued underneath, on each side of the crack, in order to prevent the crack from moving again, but I can not assure you that this will not happen, it is a light piece of furniture, which is likely to "work" a little. It measures 73 cm in height, the top is 56 cm wide and 41 cm deep. It weighs about 6 kg.
